The State Electricity Board of Andhra Pradesh has been splitted in to two seperate Departments in the year 1999 as APTRANSCO and APGENCO to reduce the losses occuring in the transmission and generation of Electricity.The APTRANSCO deals with the transmission and distribution of electricity and on the other hand the APGENCO deals with the generation of electricity.
