Till the middle of 14th century.Hyderabad region was ruled by Satavahana, Badami Chalukyas, Kakatiyas, Rashtrakulam and Kalyanana Chalukyas. Till 1512, it was under the regoin of Bahamanis. In 1589, the Qutub shahni dynasty ruled over it and was conquered by the Delhi rulers in 1687 It came under the Asaf Jahi rule in 1724. The Nizama ruled till 1911.Hyderabad remained independent for one year after the Country achieved independence in 1947.There was a police action in 1948 and later the nizam was RajPramukh till 1956 It became part of Andhra Pradesh on November 1st 1956.
