The famous Venkateswara temple, visited by lakhs of devotees every day fro m all over the country and the world is located in the district of Chittoor. The Vijayanagara Emperer Krishna Devaraya spent his last days at this place. The Akasaganga, Papanasanam located on the hill, Govinda Raja Swamy temple and Kapila Thirtham are also of tourist interest.
